STAY TUNED AS MORE EPISODES WILL APPEAR IN EACH SECTION
Your engagement session can be scheduled anytime before your wedding day. I normally suggest booking it at least 3-6 months in advance to avoid stress. Because our weekends are filled with weddings, I shoot the majority of my engagement sessions during the week anywhere from 6-8 pm during the summer months. In the winter months, 4-6 pm is a normal time frame for a photoshoot.
As you start to plan for your engagement shoot, you will need to start brainstorming about location ideas. I LOVE it when couples pick a location that is special or sentimental to them in some way! If you can’t think of anywhere specific that you would like to shoot, I can help you with a few of my favorite no fail locations!

Your Wardrobe is Important
You've invested in photography, now is the time to dress up, feel beautiful and let that shine through in your photos. Some tips? Don't match colors, find ones that compliment one another. Always come over dressed! And above all, wear something you feel amazing in.
This is the most important thing. I am a natural light photographer and the sun is out for only so long. The later you arrive, the less time we have to shoot. And nobody wants that!
Be on Time
Most often, couples like to have 1 casual every day outfit and then one outfit that is dressier. This will give your shoot two totally different "looks" and offer more variety.
Bring Two Outfits
Literally. You don't want your keys, phone, or chapstick bulging through your pants in your engagement photos. This is for guys especially!
Empty Your Pockets
Many future brides like to use their trial makeup the day of their engagement session. If you feel gorgeous that translates to your photos and you're killing two birds with one stone!
Do Your Trial Makeup Run
Wear high heels and your best gentleman shoes. Mind your nails and make sure to do a good teeth cleaning before your session. Keep your accessories timeless and minimal. You're going to be looking back on these photos for generations to come!
Don't Forget the Details
Nothing personalizes an engagement session more than bringing props. A classic vintage car, bicycles, a picnic with charcuterie board, champagne and flutes. Something that is special to your story, bring it! If nothing comes to mind, I'm happy to help you find something unique and special for you both.
